I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the motel.
8.0The location was excellent, close to the Britmart amenities, main transport, lots of cafes and restaurants and Queen St. the swimming pool and gym were well organised. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the traffic and city noise level was low. The staff were friendly and supportive of guests.
− There was no safes in the rooms and there could be more cooking items. It would be nice to have a system whereby guests can enter the pool and gym independently rather than asking reception to open the main entrance door.

10.0The suite was very spacious, also 2 balconies..😃 Unfortunately we didnt get to have a swim in the pool, due to my husband and I sleeping in 😳 Must have been the very comfy bed . And thankyou for the complimentary wine and chocolates. Great price for our stay Thankyou!!

Please note that The Chancellor on Hobson requires NZD 150 credit card pre-authorization or cash deposit upon check-in to cover any incidental charges. This will be collected by credit card, debit card or cash. You will be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full by the same method of deposit payment, subject to an inspection of the room. Pre-Authorisations - Under normal circumstances, banks should be releasing this hold when the pre-authorisation has been cancelled by us. Occasionally some banks are unable to release the hold immediately and may reflect on your account for 4 - 7 working days (depending on the bank of issue). The hold will then automatically disappear from your account meaning you would not see money coming in - the pending transaction would go away.
