Je had niet het gevoel dat je in een hotel zat. De kamer was zeer ruim en super geïsoleerd. Je komt ook nlet binnen via een receptie, maar via de valet en het restaurant. Je gaat daar de lift in naar je eigen etage, dus niet door een drukke lobby. Het ontbijt wordt op het bovenste verdieping geserveerd (binnen en buiten) en was perfect. Ruime keuze aan het buffet, maar ook a-la-carte kon je mooie gerechtjes bestellen. Mooi zwembad, groter dan op de foto's en ook weer zeer rustgevend.

− Als ik toch iets minder vond is dat er ook in dit hotel slijtage zit op de materialen in de mooie kamers.

The location is very convenient for transport and it is right in the city just off one of the main thoroughfares. The rooms are spacious and stylish. The design of the rooms has been carefully thought out are very easy to live in. There is plenty of storage which would make a stay of a week or more extremely comfortable.

− The furniture and fittings in the room are getting a bit tired and really could do with refurbishing. For example the desk chair material and the carpets in a couple of locations were fraying and the woodwork was in places scratched or dinted. Also the breakfast offering although perfectly adequate was not really up to the standard of many other 5 star hotels in Bangkok.

I stayed at this hotel back in 2022, and I still think it’s a great choice. The location is excellent—just a 4-minute walk to the train station and around 10 minutes on foot to the city center. One of the things I like most is that all the rooms are suites, so they’re spacious and very comfortable. This time, I also noticed they added a handheld bidet spray in the bathroom, which I really appreciated since bidets aren’t commonly available. It was a thoughtful touch. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. Overall, it’s one of my favorite hotels in Bangkok, and I’d definitely stay here again.

− The only downside, both during my previous stay and this time, was the cleanliness and the overall condition of the rooms. They definitely show their age. The rooms have carpeted floors and fabric-covered walls instead of painted ones, which tend to trap dust over time. Another issue was the bedding. I found the pillow uncomfortable, so I requested another one. They kindly brought me two extra pillows, but both had a musty smell, almost like they had been stored away for a long time. I didn’t end up using them, and honestly, I didn’t feel like complaining. I’m sure they would have replaced them if I had asked, but for me, details like this should be taken care of before guests arrive. I also noticed that the carpet near the elevators had turned black around the edges from years of use, which made the hotel feel more worn than it should. That said, I still came back because the room size and price offer great value, especially for a one-night stay before leaving Bangkok. If I were staying for several nights, though, I would probably choose a newer hotel. With a renovation and updated rooms, this hotel would easily become one of my top choices.
