Firstly loved the location easy bus and train ride from airport with a short walk from Flinders Station to accommodation. Secondly we loved the location being the street behind the vibrant Southbank and a short walk to the city. Thirdly we loved our accommodation it was quite, clean and well presented.

− We had a few minor issues with housekeeping though nothing major, and these would not stop us staying there again.

− Do not stay here unless you really need to. Apart from 1 staff member, all the rest were unhelpful, and the stay was horrible. We were given a room and looked nothing like the photos of the room that we had booked. Our view was of a fire escape and the car park instead of the brick wall we actually booked. The door to the room was impossibly hard to open, and at one point, we got stuck in the room. There were stains on the floor and walls, exposed cords and hair all over the floor. The bathroom lock didn't work, and it was overall dirty, smelling like dust. The area where you wait for the elevator smelt like used dippers, and it took at least 7 minutes to get an elevator as there were only 2 working in a 40-floor hotel. The room was also only accessible from a separate elevator that we had to ask reception to get us to. We asked for another room and was told that we could pay an extra $100 for a night for another room, as that was all that was available. Even though we could still book multiple rooms through booking.com at a cheaper price. We said yes and moved to another room before unpacking anything. We moved rooms to a bigger room with two bathrooms and two rooms. These weren't clean. There was white hair on the carpet and in the bathroom.(My partner and I have black hair) There was a sticky mark(like pee) on one of the toilets. There were small black hairs on the toilet, and they all had the seats lifted up when we came in, which is just weird. The master rooms bathroom shower didn't drain at all, I was showering in my own filth, even though I only ran the water for 2 mins. There were multiple stains all over the floor and table. There weren't even 4 cups in a room that slept 4 people. There were 4 bottles of the hotels shampoo that were all empty in the bathrooms, and none of the products in the master shower, all empty.

It was ok.

The bed was very comfortable. Good location.

− There was too much light for sleeping. No blockout curtains.

Location good views of major sport facilities Carpet was a bit dirty and a dressing gown to get to pool is beeded

− No dressing gown to get to pool ie into lift on 31 floor to pool on 10 and no room in pool for clothes at the side

10/10 would recommend and stay again

Close proximity to major attractions

− Elevator liked to not to stop at certain floors however staff were fantastic and very helpful with the elevator
