Our stay at Waldorf Astoria Bangkok was truly exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are elegant, and every breakfast was absolutely perfect. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome. A very special thank you to Nobel, the Duty Manager. Nobel went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care were evident in every interaction. He was always warm, approachable, and willing to help with anything we needed. Thanks to him, we felt more like valued guests than just visitors. Hospitality is about making people feel at home, and Nobel does exactly that. He is a true asset to Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, and we sincerely hope his outstanding dedication is recognized. Thank you, Nobel, for making our trip so special. Breakfast at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok — a highlight of our Trip!

I’m a huge breakfast lover, and pastries especially are what I look forward to most when traveling. I’ll admit that in traveling through Asia, the bread and pastry offerings haven’t always been a highlight — but the Waldorf was incredible. The most amazing cheeses, wonderful pastries that varied day to day, beautiful smoked fish, and so much gorgeous fruit. Alongside all of that, a huge Asian buffet with Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes — the mango sticky rice was a favorite I couldn’t resist most mornings. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the made-to-order dishes were the finest quality, beautifully presented, and delicious. We worked our way through the menu: the Thai omelette, the shakshuka, and the chili eggs, which may have been my favorite. The coffee and tea were wonderful, the juices too — I had the vitamin C boost every morning, and my husband’s smoothie was out of this world. We also had the pleasure of meeting the food and beverage manager, such a friendly person — we discovered we grew up a stone’s throw from each other, him on the Dutch side of the border and me on the German side. We only managed a quick dip in the pool, but we can’t wait to return. A truly wonderful experience.

The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring Bangkok. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. Housekeeping was outstanding and paid great attention to every detail throughout our stay. The service was warm and professional, and we really appreciated the thoughtful welcome cake.

− We experienced a delay during check-in, and it took quite a while before we got to our room. Our initial room was on a lower floor with a disappointing view, and we had to request several times before it was changed. Thankfully, the hotel accommodated our request on the second day and moved us to a much better room. The breakfast was good in terms of quality, but it became repetitive as the menu was almost the same every day. It also catered more to Chinese tastes. While there were international options, I believe a wider variety of international dishes, along with more daily variety, would better match the standards of a luxury hotel. Also, guests should note that this is a boutique luxury hotel, so the lobby and entrance are relatively small and don’t offer the grand, resort-style arrival experience that many luxury hotels in Bangkok are known for.

Honestly, if you’re not giving a five star review of this exceptional property then you are living in a parallel universe or, more likely, you have such inflated expectations that you are sadly numb to warm, attentive and uniquely Thai hospitality. Now yes, we were incredibly fortunate to be upgraded to an Executive Suite (and this was transformative!), but there is not one interaction from check in to check out that I could fault. Across the whole property, I could not believe how nearly everyone could address us so accurately by name - it made us feel incredibly special and were actually just normal people on holiday from Melbourne who chose a bloody good hotel. Breakfast is exceptional. And on holidays, yes, you can linger for a couple of hours each morning and enjoy it. Similarly the pool and fitness centre, although the wind was pretty epic on a couple of afternoons. We loved Bull and Bear - great food and even better views. But I just must come back to the staff. All of them are superb and, sitting writing this at the airport just prior to heading home, I cannot thank them enough - ALL of them - for providing us with such an experience. If you want to feel like the most important person in the world, stay at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok. Kop khun krup!!! We will be back.

We travelling with our 9 month old, and mother, who stayed in another room on the same floor. The cot was GREAT, a really high end plush one and our baby slept very well. Also the high chairs are super lux ones - seriously great hotel if you have a baby. Great location Great breakfast Restaurant Bull and Bear is fantastic Bar on top floor amazing. Great cocktails and small food options and inside smoking area. Very nice staff Pool is fantastic with nice views of golf course and city. Plenty of shade and sun.

− Only negative was that when we checked out I think they forgot to order our transport to airport, it arrived 20 mins late and did not have a baby seat as requested, then traffic was bad so it was a stressful ride to airport. We made the flight, but as we were rushing due to time constraints we lots some personal items along the way. Couldn’t figure out apps / chrome cast. No other negatives, we still highly recommend.
